I mentioned it in my prior post, but I”ll mention it again – you might be able to hit your goal score in LESS than 2-3, depending on how efficiently you can learn/practice the proper Tactics.

    • Your MBA Application Advice*: Taking the GMAT now, years in advance of applying to Business School, is a really good idea (for exactly the reasons that you described). Since you're forward-thinking enough to think in those terms, I think that you have a very good chance of achieving your goals. We'll know more once you've taken that next CAT. • Your MBA Application Advice*: Plan your time wisely especially if you are working while in grad school. You can easily become overwhelmed by the amount of work in the courses. Also remember to take time for your self in order to decompress from academics.

    • Your MBA Application Advice*: Discipline! Plan ahead and spend just two hours a day for 3 months and you should be through with a great score. If you are from a liberal arts background then you might require 4 months. Practice as many tests as possible. Nothing tests you better than a test.

I was busy preparing and made myself familiar with the expressions in the math part. The questions are easy when it is understood totally, so knowing all the terms related to the math test is important.
for the logic part, try to understand what is required and what is being tested, follow the thoughts of the test providers.
read as fast as you can and have a basic understanding about the whole article will help you a lot in locating the answer to the questions.

800 scores was a great tool to prepare my Gmat, especially at the beginning. Indeed, it’s a well made program with mid level tests that are perfect to practice and get used to the test format. However, these test were slightly below the level of difficulty of the real GMAT exam. I definitely advise any one willing to take the GMAT exam to use 800 scores as a good tool to practice, as long as one knows that its score won’t correctly reflect his potential on the real GMAT exam.

The sections really helped me in maximizing my gains from MBA preparation. I would say that quants is damn good and one need not look at anything else beyond 800score. The sample tests were highly reflective of the actual exam. The course pack was helpful for high difficulty problems. I would say go for it

It’s a decent service to get one familiar with the material on the test. However, there is a lot of extra material throughout the training that is not covered on the test and seems to be a waste of time. Additionally, practice questions are not as in sync with the actual test questions as other companies (ie Manhattan GMAT).

    • Business School Attended / Year Graduated: McCombs 2016
    • Your MBA Application Advice*: This is a good additional source of info to taking the test, but one should first use other sources such as Manhattan Review and GMAC for practice tests.
