Marvel Admissions is a consultant service that adds coaching to the mix, with a particular emphasis on teaching applicants how to be more outgoing and capable of dealing with the many challenges that can arise in a workplace. Employees include a number of MBA graduates, many of whom have served on admissions boards themselves or have otherwise gained experience as professional consultants.

Basics

Marvel Admissions offers ten main services, starting with Candidate Assessment and School Selection, with further packages providing guidance in all areas of the application process, to Decision Support. Hourly consulting is available for clients who’d prefer to get help on specific issues, rather than the entire application process.

Unlike many other consulting firms, they also offer pre-assessment services, including advice on how to become more of a leader at work and be more visible as a philanthropist. The goal of these services is to strengthen candidates before they even start applying. Candidates with better records do tend to have an edge when it comes to actually getting into an MBA program.

Cost and Contact Info

The comprehensive school package starts at $3400 for one school. Hourly services begin at $270 for one hour, then slowly decrease as more hours are added to a minimum of $240 per hour. Marvel Admissions notes that the average client works with them for 12 to 18 hours, resulting in a total charge somewhere between $3,000 and $4,320.
